Ôjas is the music project collaboration of Wade Travis and Omar Ross. Currently, both are Media and Communication students at Maharishi University of Management. Their first demo was crafted in the campus dormitory.
A former resident of Athens, Georgia, this is Wade’s fourth Album. He honed his skills having written and produced three albums on his own with Garage Band. His latest, “Fellow Consumer” is available on iTunes and Amazon. Watching him in a live performance is proof enough: he is a talented guitarist and vocalist, with an ear for unique and fresh musical phrases. Wade’s songwriting skills are tremendously supported by his hard work and undying desire to do things against the grain to make powerful statements. His influences are Post-Punk, Electronic, and Acoustic artists.
This is Omar’s first album. Before Ôjas, he spent his time organizing live performances and cover songs on cruise ships and acting in New York City’s Children’s Theatre. A singer since
the age of 4, Omar has always enjoyed performing. He began his professional career at the age of 17, working at a haunted house in an amusement park in his hometown of Panama city, Florida. As a songwriter, Omar brings straightforward, simple phrases and lyrics to the table. As a vocalist, his honey coated tones and steadily controlled breath produce smooth licks and riffs that give “Don’t Look Back” its flavor and soul. His Influences are R&B, Acoustic, Soul, Electronica/Dance, and Pop artists.
“Don’t Look Back” is now available on iTunes and Amazon.
